I am an avid smoker and ribs are my “specialty”. I have tried many many different rubs in the past, but nothing goes on smooth and tastes delicious quite like Famous Daves. There are a number of reasons this rub is so good. 1) It is not loaded with salt, so you don’t need to be afraid of the end result being salty 2) Plenty of sugar to create a delicious bark 3) the flavor is DEAD ON – a bit smoky, a bit sweet, and excellent. You really can’t go wrong with this rub. Try it once and you’ll be buying 6 at a time like me.

I have tried a lot of rubs out there for ribs. Famous Dave’s just has a nice mix of flavor and my family prefers it. I know there is more to smoking up great ribs than the rub you choose, but this one is my go-to for success every time when it comes to seasoning them. I also use butter, some brown sugar, and cider when I wrap them up during a portion of the cook. The 3-2-1 method is fantastic!

I smoke a lot of meat, including ribs and pork butts. When I don’t have time to make my own rubs, this is definitely my “go to” rub! It’s a great blend of sweet and spicy, and the dried veggie ingredients give it a unique taste profile. Try it on ribs or pulled pork; you won’t be disappointed!

Our family cooks on the grill several nights a week. I use this seasoning religiously and recommend it to others. I put this on everything! It gives chicken, pork, steak and ribs a wonderful flavor but I also use it in my regular cooking – pasta salad, chili and chicken noodle soup. It is amazing!
